Research and intervention with families

This article provides some theoretical background for the understanding of family as an object of research and professional intervention. To this end, the authors analyze the complexity of families, understood as an object of study, and present some theoretical contributions from the social and human sciences for research and intervention with families. The ideas under discussion are the product of the authors’ reflections in the context of the work they perform within the Family and Society Studies Research Group of the School of Social Work at Universidad del Valle.
