This presents a case study carried out in the Institución Educativa Villacolombia in Cali. It is an evaluation of the ‘’Computing and Bilingualism Program’’ implemented by the Colombian Ministry of Education in several schools around the country. The study dealt with the implementation the ‘‘English Discoveries’’ software in the Villacolombia High School syllabus.  Bilingual education, foreign language teaching methodologies, Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) and syllabus design were taken as the theoretical basis of this research study. The research problem was analyzed from an ethnographic approach through the study of official and curricular documents of the institution, interviews and surveys of the school staff and through observation in four English classrooms. Finally, the strengths and weaknesses of the program are presented as well as some suggestions for this school and for others which have used this program.
