Spanish as an Additional Language in Colombia

We are pleased to present this special issue of Lenguaje, which gathers some of the papers shared at the International Meeting of Spanish as a Foreign Language - ELE, held in Cali during the month of August 2023. This set of articles shows the multiple situations and audiences to whom the teaching of Spanish in Colombia is directed and leads to suggest the name Spanish as an additional language as a more comprehensive term to refer to the variety of contexts and situations.
