The analysis of the creative industries in Colombia based on the act known as Orange Law, allows us to glimpse how in this last decade the Orange Economy model has become relevant in the country. Thanks to this economic trend, regulations that seek to promote creative industries in the country have arised; industries that have their field of action in intellectual property and national culture, defined as a value, a principle and a good, that deserves special protection and recognition, in the Political Constitution of 1991. Through the review of the literature available about this legislation, we highlighted the task of the State to link cultural processes with social and economic policies, implementing guidelines that may help artists, creators and cultural managers to sustain and professionalize, what would stimulate the cultural economy in Colombia.
