The book La Yerba Santa - Kiu Chibatsa (1929), of Salustio González Rincones signed with the pseudonym Otal Susi, executes a process of invention of indigenous languages through translation games and figurations with elements interned in popular culture, taking to the limit the metatextuality; each poem written in the invented indigenous language has two versions of their translates to the Spanish, in which a fictitious translator has written notes at the bottom of them; at the same time, González Rincones creates a poem of sciences fiction in key and texts that has colloquial sonority and structures of corrido. This work seeks to investigate the value of the popular from the postulates of the researcher Viviana Gelado, as well as analyze the signification of invented languages as a utopia in the period of the Latin—American vanguard through the vision of the researches José Antonio Castro Kerdel and Jorge Schwartz.

Jesús Montoya es Licenciado en Letras mención Lengua y Literatura Hispanoamericana y venezolana por la Universidad de Los Andes. Cursa la maestría en Estudios Literarios de la Universidad Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar).
