The “Ciénaga Colombia” is an important natural wetland ecosystem located in the “Bajo Cauca Antioqueño” and it is an ideal representative of the bird diversity in the area. We conducted a bird inventory from August 2009 to February 2010. We registered a bird community with 37 families and 110 species, and highlight the presence of Chauna chavarria and Crypturellus colombianuserytropus. With this study, we hope to contribute to the knowledge of the bird richness in this important region of the country.
