The Soursop’s (Annona muricata) and Cherimoya’s (Annona cherimolia) seeds are considered as waste that contributes to environmental contamination, since tons of these by-products are generated every year. Despite many studies on Annonaceae’s pharmacological effects, no apparent applications have been found. This study shows that these seeds contain an oil percentage (22%) similar to Cottonseed’s (23%) and Soya’s (18%) and higher than Corn (5%). Physical and chemical analyses of Soursop’s and Cherimoya’s oil were also carried out, and its characterization was performed by gas chromathography, allowing identification of fatty acids as oleic, linoleic and linolenic.
